"Does anyone here play guitar?" He asked into the mic, a few hands went up, including mine. He looked around with tired eyes. "Okay, keep your hands up if you know how to play most, if not all, of our songs." He said. Lot's of hands went down, not including mine, and people were starting to look questionably at each other. There were probably only 4 others with their hands still up. "Okay, thanks. I was just wondering. We'll be back at the end of the night! Enjoy!" He said, looking around once more, before leaving the stage and letting the other band finish setting up.
Halfway through the local bands set I was pulled out of the crowd, confused, by a security guard. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked him as he led me backstage. "Did I hurt someone in the mosh pit? I mean if I did I'm sorry but people are always getting hurt in the pits." I hurriedly said. Someone laughed and I came face to face with.. Austin Carlile? "W-What..?" I questioned, the security guard left me standing there confused and alone with the lead singer of my favorite band.
"Sorry for pulling you out of the show but when we asked if someone could play guitar you raised your hand and we were wondering, well, if you'd be up for filling in for Alan. He got sick.." Austin told me and his other band mates came in and sat on the sofa. I blinked at him. He wanted me to play there set with them? oh my god. What should I say? Should I do it or not? Is it a joke? I thought to myself he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. Was he serious? I nodded slowly to answer him and his face lit up, his band members came up and thanked me and introduced themselves, though I was already a big fanboy over them. "Well.. I'm Nick, it's nice to meet you all." I told them and shook their outstretched hands. The stage manager person came up to the guys and told them they were on in 15 and just glanced over me for a second before walking away again.
"Here's the list of songs we're playing in order, and here's Alans guitar. Don't break it or he will kill the both of us. I'm too young to die." Tino said, handing me a piece of paper and guitar. Oh my god. I was touching Alans guitar. OH. MY. GOD. I looked down at the list and tried to memorize it. I knew how to play all of their songs, that sounds weird but it's true. These dudes were inspiration for me. I practiced a bit of a few of their songs before I was told that we had five minutes till stage time so I stood up and looked around for the band, though I barely had to look since they were already backstage and ready. I went to join them and barely had time to say hi before we were pushed onto stage.
"How is everyone tonight?!" Austin yelled into the mic and I stood where Alan would've normally stood. Fans screamed and cheered at him, you couldn't really hear what they were saying but I could here a few girls near me yell "AUSTIN FUCK ME!" He just laughed it off. "So here's the thing, as some of you may have noticed Alan isn't here tonight but in his place is someone else. Let me introduce to you Nick Skyes, he's filling in for Alan for tonight so say hi." Austin said and pointed to me, The crowd screamed again and I waved awkwardly to them.
We played through the set and made our way backstage again after saying thanks to the crowd for a wonderful night. "That was amazing, you were awesome!" Tino yelled to me and I blushed. "Well I have to go.. keep in touch guys." I told them, I gave Tino my number though since he seemed like a good friend. I wish I didn't have to go home but unfortunately I couldn't stay in the venue forever, And my mom would surely be pissed if I didn't show up again.

This was just a fun little bit of writing and getting used of using different tenses and POV's.
